About our farm school
Free Range Farm School is a nonprofit program that meets at a barn in Murrieta, CA. However, our classroom extends out to the garden, pastures, and twenty-six acres of land that has hundreds of fruit trees, cattle, horses, chickens, and other livestock. Our goal is to cultivate a passion for lifelong learners and to provide outdoor education to learn about where food comes from, farming, and farm animals.
Farm School Membership
We now offer Wednesday and Thursday evening farm school nights that meet weekly. Our evening programs are designed for families to learn together. We gather to focus on four pillars including farm, friendships, family, and faith.
We accept students from pre-k to twelfth grade and students are put into small groups based on their age. This is not a drop-off program but a family program where we go over different farm skills, group projects, and bible lessons including scripture memory. It is $30 for the registration fee and $30/month per student and preschoolers are $15/student. Charter funds cannot be used for this program because we teach bible.
Part of our membership program includes a Friday morning nature study that is optional to attend but highly encouraged as we allow the kids to live a free-ranged childhood exploring nature with a guided lesson.
Our Wednesday and Thursday evening groups are now FULL.

Field Trips
We offer educational farm tours that allow a deep understanding of what life on the farm looks like. Based on the season, we have different harvests from blueberry picking, the pumpkin patch, and more. A typical farm tour will include visiting the animals and learning about what their job is on the farm. We have a playground at the end of the tour and you are welcome to bring a lunch to eat at the picnic tables.
This is a working farm so we only have scheduled tours that are booked below.
